The Twin Towers stood beside each other like parallel mirrors reflecting one hundred and ten stories, reflecting never ending tales of the human experience. The stories must find voice and continuity and speak of a record when the World came together in sympathy and embraced itself, shuddering at images that had no comprehension.
Atop the Towers one could grasp the fullness of the fabric of humanity instantly. At any given moment one could not fail to understand the immense sea of disparate intention teeming below. At any given moment a child is being born, someone is lamenting the loss of a loved one, someone is losing a job or being hired, someone is creating a world or admonishing his/her place in it, someone is falling in love or someone is broken hearted. The dimension of human feelings,thoughts, dreams and aspirations at the towers' feet. . . We were brought to consciousness there as part of the joy and drama of the journey we call life.
An act of malice brought the steel and glass downward like a storm that rained on us with great gravity. But the hopes, ambitions and resolve that molded and shaped the landscape remain untouched and is vibrant and more hopeful than ever. Here is where people come not to dream, but to realize their potential and gather the energy around them to CREATE. From here we approach heaven, we unfold our wings and take flight
